Microsoft Money Plus Sunset Deluxe. This software is a good option for individuals who do not need internet access to do things like automatic transaction downloads or any other feature that needs internet. This version is free, but it doesn’t come with all the features that were there in the old MS Money version. Microsoft Money is beautifully designed personal finance management software which enables users to take control of their finances. It allows users to view bank account balances, create budgets, and track expenses, among other things. Microsoft Money is available on computers and on mobile phones. Its features include online bill payment, online investment quotes, automatic statement downloads.

All versions of Money Plus sold at retail and online, required users to perform an “Online Activation” step in order to keep using the product, even if online services had already expired. Online Activation was also required for every machine onto which Money Plus was installed. Now that Money Plus is no longer available for purchase, the online activation step will eventually become unnecessary and unsupported.
The Microsoft Money Plus Sunset versions provide an alternative version of Money with the following:
* No activation requirement. This version can be installed/reinstalled as needed without a requirement to activate
* No online services. Discontinued services include online quotes, bill payment, statement downloads initiated by Money, data sync with MSN Money, etc. If your financial institution provides OFX or QIF statement downloads, the Sunset versions will allow you to import those statements into your Money file
* Online Help is replaced with a local Help file
* No Assisted Support. Self Help and community support may continue to be available for a few more years
* File conversion from older versions of Money. The Sunset versions are able to open and convert Money Plus files and files from older versions of Money (e.g. Money 2006, Money 2007). The Sunset version cannot convert files created by regional (non-US) versions of Money
Money Plus Sunset is available in two versions:
* Money Plus Deluxe Sunset (this file, download above) – designed to replace Essentials, Deluxe and Premium
* Money Plus Home & Business Sunset – designed to replace Home & Business

MSMoneyQuotes has been broken recently due to changes in Microsoft's Quote Web Services. Please see this post for more information.

Hi, I’m Dan and I'm a former Microsoft employee who worked on the Microsoft Money product and MSN Money website for almost a decade (1999 – 2009). I was the software developer who built the Portfolio Manager for both products, worked on the quote services that powered them, and in 2009 built the Money-to-Quicken Converter for Intuit.
Since Microsoft pulled the plug on the quote services in the summer of 2013, I often get asked if it’s possible to build something that would restore Money's ability to get quote information automatically. It turns out it is possible, and I have built such a tool!
The tool is a separate executable called MSMoneyQuotes.exe that can automatically update quotes with a single click of a button! MSMoneyQuotes can open your Money file (including password protected ones), obtain the list of securities in your portfolio, make calls to MSN Money’s new quote services to fetch data for these securities, and update your Money file. It follows nearly the same logic as the original Money code in terms of updating this information, and includes data such as last, change, open, high, low, 52 week high, 52 week low, PE, market cap and volume. It also handles pounds to pence price conversions for you UK users. It can be run throughout the day, knows when to add vs. update an existing price entry, and can be run while you have Money open or closed.
MSMoneyQuotes.exe restores the same automatic online quote functionality originally available in Money!
